A one day workshop to manage anxiety and to restore peace in young people.
With the increasingly rapid pace of life it’s no wonder ancient practices of mindfulness have come to the forefront as a way to manage stress and anxiety. Recent studies shown one in four young people aged between 16 and 24 have a mental disorder, of which anxiety is the most common. (Australian Bureau of Statistics, 2010) Mindfulness has been shown to support improved academic achievement, concentration, creativity, emotional intelligence and attention. (Broderick & Metz 2009, p37).
BUT, this workshop is not just about mindfulness.
In this full day workshop your son or daughter will learn a range of techniques including Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to calm their emotions, restorative yoga poses and meditation to relax their bodies, breath and energy work to manage self regulation.
